     Assistance for publishers

Textread.co.uk is a small company based on Merseyside offering help to local and national publishers.

My name is Peter Rich. Nine years ago I studied a proofreading course from the Publishing Training Centre. Almost six years ago I started a long and on-going relationship with local newspaper Kirkby Extra, first reading proofs of adverts and articles and then progressing on to copyediting and writing.

With strong IT skills, I have in time become invaluable to all parts of the publishing process, including helping to move production of the paper from one typesetting firm to another.

As well as plenty of one-off freelance assignments, a year ago I started a new partnership with Jan Roscoe Publications, helping them to proofread and copyedit their set of A Level revision textbooks.

My aim is to offer a professional service and to help publishers, large or small, in any way that I can, whether that is to meet deadlines, improve publication quality, increase the efficiency of production or reduce costs.
